Does anyone know where I can get Linux for free as a live cd without using ftp or http. Because I just don't understand to whole ftp thing am I supposed to use a special programn or something. If no one knows where I can do that then can someone explain to me how to do the ftp thing.

if you want to download it its not hard .... Internet Expoloer can download it for you! (FTP and HTTP)
