Question does over clocking mess up win xp?

hey guys, i was just wondering, does over clocking mess up windows xp? cuz it seems ever since i did, it takes like 5 extra loading bar things to load and like 25 seconds to exit... any help would be great

No, it is just lag created from your large overclock. Don't worry about it. Maybe you need to tweak your RAM settings and make them as TIGHT as possible and tweak FSB just a wee bit. Balance is the key. If I can't hit 3GHz, I won't be mad, but I want to hit 2.7-2.8GHz.

I had a problem after overclocking and my computer just would not run properly, dont know what happened, maybe i overclocked it too much

yeah u probably did, i think xp becomes unstable after a acertain level!!
