Default Do modems need special drivers?

I have a rosewill rc-403 56k modem and I wanted to know if I can get special drivers for it instead of the ones that came with vista. Cause I get horrable connection speeds. Might be the modem itself. Hopefully in a month or 2 T6Broadband wiill become available at our house but in the mean time I just want my modem to stop working so crappy.

Well it's 56K so that explains the "bad connections" right there. As for drivers, try checking the manufacturer's website.
