Default Do I need Water cooling?

I am wondering whether i should buy a watercooling block for this system or not?

Motherboard:EVGA 132-CK-NF79-A1 LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 790i Ultra SLI DDR3 ATX Intel Motherboard

Processor: Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9650 Yorkfield 3.0GHz 12MB L2 Cache LGA 775 130W Quad-Core Processor

Video card (2 of these in SLI) : EVGA 01G-P3-N891-AR GeForce 9800 GX2 1GB (512MB per GPU) 512-bit (256-bit per GPU) GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card

Ram (2 of these) totaling 8gb: CORSAIR XMS3 DHX 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory

Hard drive: Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 ST31000340AS 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive

Optical drive: StarTech InfoSafe SAT5210U2E Aluminum 5.25" Silver USB & eSATA Optical Drive Enclosure

Case: COOLER MASTER COSMOS 1000 RC-1000-KSN1-GP Black/ Silver Steel ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Power supply: XCLIO STABLEPOWER 850W ATX 850W Power Supply 100 - 240 V UL, CUL, TUV, CB, VDE, FIMKO, DEMKO, NEMKO, SEMKO

Operating System: Microsoft Windows Vista Home Basic SP1 64-bit English 1pk for System Builders DSP OEI DVD

I am removing all the current fans from the case and replacing them with

4 SILVERSTONE FM121-B 120mm Case Fan

Now what I am not planing to do is overclock, just to go into SLI.

Do i need watercooling? If so what model should i use?

Watercooling is mainly for cooling highly overclocked systems. If your not overclocking its a waste of money. A good HSF will be more than sufficient.

I was wondering the same thing. No point in spending so much on a CPU that has an unlocked multiplier if you aren't going to overclock it.

Damn that's a hella of a good build. I say OC it and get watercooling. Might as well make it even more of a beast than it already is.

..and I thought my build was good

Watercooling is a HASSLE. Usually, to get the best config possible, you have to buy everything seperate, it costs quite a bit, there's always that chance of it leaking, etc, etc. If you really want to max out your performance and overclock the hell out of it, go for it, but if you're not, don't.

Also, many aircoolers outperform watercooling, get this Tuniq air cooler: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835154001, or the Thermalright Ultra 120

Also, get the Silverstone FM123s instead of the 121s- they're more highly rated and you can put three knobs to adjust for 3 fan speeds on the fan speed controller, whereas with the 121, you have to use all four fan speed controllers, and you only have so many floppy drive slots (with the 123, it goes in the back where the expansion slots are)

Basically, 123:

121:

Wow..

"I have tested both the aforementioned FN122 and FM123 for Round 2 and have not listed their performance. I hate them with a passion. Neither are anywhere near their CFM ratings and the FM123 is more annoying to listen to than the 220CFM Deltas in Round 1. I'd go as far as saying it's more annoying than a crying baby. Unlike the baby though, you can kick it. At this point, the FM121, FM122, FM123, and FN122 have ranked among the most annoying or worst performing fans I have ever tested/used. They may all be lemons, but if the lemon rate coming out of Silverstone is 80%, you should stay away. If they are good representations, you should stay away. So ultimately, based on my experience with them, you should stay away. And I really don't have a bias...I actually like the FN121 quite a bit. Shame it has retarded siblings. "

Guess not then... xD

Newegg lies

But then again, the guy appears to be extremely bias, and as he didn't even review the FN123, I don't believe him.
