do I need a network AVR
I'm planning on upgrading my Yamaha audio video reciever AVR. I have a PC (w/ wireless connection to the net) blue ray player & DVR all connected to AVR w/ 1.3 HDMI cables.
The new AVRs nowadays are including network functionality via a hardwired ethernet cat5 cable to a router.
I only forsee using Pandroa and other internet radio and can do this right now.
so what is the benefit of a AVR having net functionaility? leaving the PC and monitor off and setting up the net stations directly on AVR simiairl to presetting regular AM/FM radio stations?
edit:hardwiring the new AVR to a router isn't possiable I only have a wireless connection so would a wireless bridge enable the connection? and is it like loging on to a network?
do I need a network AVR?
Thanks for any helpfull advice STB
