Disk Space

Hi all

I have a laptop which has a 32GB hard drive, however it is saying that i only have 1gb left, i use a external HD for all my images etc and i have checked all the programs i have on and they dont come anywhere near 32gb, can you tell me where i can look to see what i can delete, i have done the disk clean up and its no better, thanks all!

Try defragmenting the drive.

Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Computer Management>Disk Defragmenter

I assume you are using XP. If you aren't, the way to get there might be different.

Whats it say in disk management? Is the whole drive used, or is there som unused space showing?

dont forget that xp uses a good 1.5gb + once you have all the updates and stuff then you have to count all the installed programs, your files, temp files, etc. try downloading a disk cleaner like this one http://www.diskcleaner.nl/ and running a defrag if you dont already (this is essential)
