disk defragmenter wont work

okay so i try to defrag my drive and it goes for a little while up to like 13% then all of the sudden it finishes and says it couldnt defrag all the files. anyone know how to fix this?

i cant remeber if you need a windows disk for chkdsk ?

well any way goto

start.
run.
type CMD
hit enter
type chkdsk /f

and you may have to put your windows disk in i cant remember but that should sort your problem

Select, my computer -right click Cdrive-select properties-tools then error checking (check now) tick the two boxes and press start. hope that helps.
It might correct any errors on your drive and recover any bad ones.
