Disk Defragmenter problem

For some reason, my pc doesn't do anything when I try to defrag my hard drive...

Analyze and Defragment just doesn't do anything, I click them, but nothing happens.. not even an error message...

Windows XP home edtion SP2

p4 2.66ghz 2 gigs mem

I scanned with AVG and Spybot, found nothing.

any thoughts?

have you tried diskkeeper or scanned C: for errors?

well, when trying to scan C: for errors, I have to use disk defragmenter's analyze... as far as I know anyway...

and no, I have'nt tried diskkeeper, never heard of it.

yup get diskkeeper its like disk defrag except much faster

Are you sure you're just not letting it run long enough?

when I click it.. literally, NOTHING happens.
normally, it says "Analyzing"

my other pc does... but this one does nothing...

Oh geez, 19.3 megs for the installer.... blaAhhhh
