Default DirectX 9Ex (9.0L)

Will it work on XP when it comes out? will I be able to run both that and DirectX 9.0c, to play old DirectX games such as BF2, and still be able to play the new DirectX 10 games (like crysis)?

EDIT- will it work on any DirectX 9 card>

AMD Athlon 64X2 4200+, 2 GB ram, 2 TB HDD, Ubuntu+SAMBA ♫ Lenovo T410, i5@ 2.4 GHz, 4 GB ram, 7

Normally games are made backwards compatible. Which means yes you shouldn't have a problem you just won't get the added shader effects etc that you will with DX10.
