Default Direct X 9.0

Hey,
I have just installed Max Payne 2 on my PC and when I click on it it says the following error message-
Max Payne 2 requires a DirecX9.0 compatible display adapter.
I have 3dfx voodoo3 display adapter...
What is wrong and what do I need to do to run the game?
Max Payne 1 worked fine on my system.
I have Direct X 9.0.

sounds like you video card may not be direct x compatable. Try another direct x game like halo or something and see if it works.

first you have to figure out the agp speed on your motherboard. As long as you have 4x or higher you are fine with any agp video card on the market.
