Dimension xps t600 wont start help

Hello everyone, a few days ago i tried to startup my dimension xps t600 but i heard a loud electrical squeak then another after, then i shut it down manually. I am wonder what could have caused this problem because now, the computer fails to start, nor does it give any sign it is starting. What kind of problem could this be? The power the system board? Is there a way to transfer some data off of its internal hard drive? Thx soo much.

Sounds like a capacitor or something blew. I guess you don't get anything anymore? My guess would be the power supply blew...

Oh shoot. If the power supply blew, other things could of gone kaput.. check the warranty.
