Question dictionary software

hi,

i'm looking to make a dictionary, or rather a math dictionary and would like to have any input on some good software that would be able to do this.
first prize would be if it was free but all suggestions are good.

and maybe i'm dreaming but would like it to be able to take in words and definitions then automatically split the word list into pages. AND if we go back and add a word, the program would then automaticaly adjust all pages accordingly.

thanks in advance

i hear ya, i'm wondering that myself. i've tried google and downloads.com.

when the publishers make a dictionary, they MUST have some sort of program that puts everything in order nicely for them. also something that allows you to add a word without messing things totally up.

How about something like Microsoft Excel? I would think that would do what you'd like to do. It's not free though.

we have used excel in the past as it can sort alphabetically but was hoping for something a bit more professional.
