Looking to buy a mid-range desktop for general purpose - not gaming use. I almost settled on an ASUS Essention 1630 since it had good reviews at CNET and other + good user reviews but then I read horrible reviews re: customer service. My personal experience owning both HPs and Dells is that there is not such thing as good customer service - but is ASUS worse than the typically bad?
Other suggestions - HP Pavillion? I'd rather not buy a Dell - my last 2 Dell purchases were not terrific.
