Default desktop problem

I've a dell vostro 200, sometimes or most of the times when i'm in middle of someting it shut down by it self and restart.
Do you guys know what i should do? or i should check, to find out that problem?

maybe check the ram with memtest86+

or check the temperature of your hardware.

Do a visual check of the fans while the system is powered up. I have to side with Teny, sounds like the cpu is getting too hot and is shutting the system down to protect itself. If any are not running or appear to be running too slow, replace them.

Yes do a RAM test and make sure you are not overheating.
