Default desktop icons

i know this sound stupid and really easy, but when u have a dasktop icon, how do u put that onto the start> programs menu?
i just cant find out how

So did you right click the taskbar and go from there ? right ?
it was easy so try before you seek help.Windows does it well.

well i tried loads but after id posted a new thread it came to me to go to c:/ windows/ start menu or something like that, but yeah, its working now

Task bar "Start",click here to begin,it's all there,right ?

In Windows XP it is super easy.

-Click and hold the icon.
-Drag it to the start menu - keep in clicked and the start menu will appear in a couple of seconds.
-Then go to the place where you want the icon to appear and unclick.

That's it.

You can do the same thing with the quick task menu as well.

P.S. Microsoft has at least three ways of doing every task. Have fun exploring the other ways.
