Dell Vostro 200 Blinking Blue Light

Hey everyone, ok I've done some research online before coming here but was unable to pull up anything on the problem I'm having. A clients dell machine has a blinking blue power on button - everything works fine, but the light just blinks consistently during normal operation. However, the performance has degraded severely, the disk is staying long to load applications, freeze ups and constant no response message.

I done some perfromance maintenance such as chekdsk, degrag, registry cleanup, drive cleanup and stop unnessary startup programs and so on. The drive has 192GB of free space, but I'm thinking its a hard drive failure soon to occur.

Any opinion...I ruling out power supply failure here!!

some computer cases have a combined power and HDD LED.
If you don't want it to blink, try to take out the HDD Led cord from the motherboard.
Then it should be lighting up solid blue.

As for the other issues, have you ruled out malware yet?
