Default Dell Vostro 1510 Graphics Upgrade?

My Dell Vostro 1510 currently has a 256MB nVidia GeForce 8400M GS. This card is alright but its not too good when it comes to playing modern games. As this is a dedicated card and therefore not integrated would it be possible to upgrade it to an 8600M or possibly even the 8700M or 8800M (these last two I'm guessing are more unlikely)? Thanks for any advice.

Usually laptop components are soldered into the motherboard except for the RAM. So you are basically stuck with what you have.

Are you sure its soldered on? One of my friends upgraded his Dell Inspiron from some radeon to a 7900M GTX, he just pulled out the old card, then put the new one in.

Most laptops come that way. If you really want to find out then take apart the laptop yourself, I couldn't find anything on Google.

I did come across this though. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/in...5085338AApacUd
