I was really talking about the manufacturer of the BIOS not the entire computer. Some BIOS manfacturers are: Pheonix, award, AMI, etc. When you receive a computer from OEMs (dell, hp, gateway, etc.), they generally hide all of the advanced settings from the end-user so that he/she wont mess up the computer.
