Funny how two reviews of the same monitor on CNET come to different conclusions. Even funnier is how they have nothing to do with the Dell 2408WFP.

Hey zer0cool, why don't you just test the monitor with game mode on and off, then compare results? I am curious about this as well.

http://tft.vanity.dk/ this test should work.

Game mode (2408WFP on the left) Game mode (2407WFP-HC on the right)

Desktop Mod (2408WFP on the left) Game mode (2407WFP-HC on the right)

I took about 6 shots of both mods and selected the best visible one. After looking at all of them I dont think i noticed any visible change in ms in 2408WFP nor on 2408WFP vs 2407WFP-HC

OK, here ya go. . .

Google - Dell 2408WFP

About 248,000 results, none that say the presets do more than adjust just the colors.

Also see Zer0Cool's previous post.

Try the test using a monitor featuring a TN panel, or better yet - CRT.
