Delete HP recovery partition?! Help please!

My Hp notebook has a recovery partition that takes up 10gb of my 30gb hard-drive. I've already backed up the partition on 3 dvd-r's. Is there any way to delete the partition for more storage space?

Yes it is.

You can use Partition Magic to format the partition and reallocate the space to your C Drive...

Just remember to have your restore CDs, because now you won't have that second option to restore.

Yeah, I already tried to reformat it, but it's write protected.

your best bet would be to do as bahawolf said and use a program such as Partition Magic

yeah.. theres also a program around here that lets u "unlock" stuff like that
