Default defraggler

so i installed and gave this a go today. been running from around 1pm - 11pm and only got to 24%.
my problem is every so often my free hd space would decrease. it went from 171gb to 156gb. this is just during the defragmentation. i stopped it and rebooted and its still gone.
wtf?

edit: running the error checking. its not finished but im back to 172gb. stupid thing lol.

well when defragging the defragmentation program copies the files being defragged into a temp folder as part of the process so thats why it goes up

First time run on a large drive is gonna be a time consuming pain in the rear.
To help it go faster disable as much as possible. All the things you have running in the back ground slow it down.
