Hey I have a question about DDR2 ram, so this stuff runs at twice the speed of DDR ram and 4 times of sd ram. So having a stick of 512 DDR2 ram is like having 1024 of DDR?

No. The difference between DDR and DDR2 is transfer speeds, not the size of the stick.

There are different speeds at which ram run. Older ram speeds are 266, 333mhz. Newer faster ram run at 400mhz and 533mhz(DDR2) (i believe those are accurate numbers). Same amount of memory that they hold, just run a lot faster.
