hey just a quick question...i see alot of ppl with ddr4400 ram in ddr3200 slots..does the 4400 drop down to 3200, and when they overclock its easier becuase the ram is acutally running slower than its designed to? or am i completly wrong and 4400 is not compatiable with 3200 slots

First it is DDR400=PC3200. Second, it doesnt slow down to the speed. It is just faster.

i know that, i am talking about pc4400 which is ddr550; but will it work in the slower slots?

Of course, as long as the mobo can take it. Different RAM often different # of pins, but if they are compatible! you could OC your PC quite a lot with adequate cooling. Faster RAM means you can achieve faster bus speed ( if your mobo bios gives you that flexibility.
