Default Data Recovery

does anyone know a good data recovery program, i made the mistake of presuming microsoft might have not screwed up with their disc resizing function in vista, long story short i need some of the files and any programs ive used do it in 'clusters' as opposed to files...ANY help appriciated, also any questions that need answering just ask, its an IDE in NTFS
