joxley1990 Golden Master Messages 7,846 Apr 27, 2006 #4 .dat files are usually a text file, such as Microsoft Word, or Wordpad. Do you have any of these installed? Right click on the file, and open it with Notepad, you will proberly be able to see it then. What is the file you downloaded?
