Custom Gaming PC help/suggestions

I am attempting to make the switch from an Xbox 360 to a gaming pc. This is partially because many people I know play on the PC (that they made custom) and also, being a huge battlefield fan, I want to experience Battlefield 3 at 1080p at 60fps. The setup below represents what I think will be able to run BF3 at those specs. However, I am wondering if there are any better options that are cheaper, or any things I should know compatibility wise.
One thing I read is that an SLI setup of the nVidia GTX 5xx series is ridiculously good (albeit rather expensive). Do you have to water cool an SLI setup or would the case's built in fans be enough?
Also if I want to overclock the processor, should the after market hyper 212 fan be enough to do it safely.

Thanks in advance for the help!! :D

Are you going all out? Whats your budget, you can save on a few things.

For the mobo is fine if you are not using the dual lan feature, the P8P67 pro is fine.

For the RAM its overkill to get 16GB unless your doing heavy video encoding, or running virtual machines. 8GB is fine. BF3 wont run faster with 16GB.

Video card is good, rather get a GTX 580 then SLI another one in the future.

For SSD Intel all the way they are top tier. I like this one: Newegg.com - Intel 320 Series SSDSA2CW120G3K5 2.5" 120GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

For HD, Samsung Spinpoint 1tb is cheaper faster and more reliable than the Caviar Blacks: Newegg.com - SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 HD103SJ 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive

1200W is overkill, a 850W is sufficient for 2 GTX 580 SLI and a heavily OCed CPU.

And if you're spending this much why not a get a high end CPU cooler? I love mine!!

Thanks so much!!! To answer your question, my budget is around $2000, although I could possibly push it a but more, if needed. I have a couple more questions.
1. Is it worth paying the extra $250 for a gtx 580 sli versus a single gtx 590?
2. Is liquid cooling hard to set up?

Well if you dont want a second card the GTX 590 is fine since its 2 GTX 580's in one PBC. Go for it then, there not in stock in newegg though. Trying buying one off evga directly there lifetime warranty is amazing!

Nope its a closed loop, just put the block in the CPU mount the radiator and fans and you're set. They dont require any maintenance.
