Default currently building a new computer! plz help

its gonna be on a 3.0 ghz prescott P4, with all this good stuff, now i want to use a hard drive from my old computer that was running on a WINDOWS ME, now i do have a windows PRO cd, and on the HD there were a lot of problems so i recently reformatted it, now shud i completely erase everything on this HD or shud i just reformate and then put in the windows pro cd in and upgrade there. For the last question is, will my computer get messed up if, i just stick in a old HD with stuff in it onto the new computer?

i dont think your computer would get messed up if u stick the old hdd in. BTW your are going to need good cooling for prescotts, they run extremely hot.
