CS:CZ not working properly

Every time I load CS:CZ I can play for about 5 seconds, enough to pick up a gun, and it will freeze up and not respond. If there's any sort of sound going on, it is repeated. This started happening yesterday when I went to play fy_pool_day. I'm not sure if it has occurred on any other maps. Should I just re-download the map and see if it works?

Ah, how I miss Counter Strike! Try playing locally with Bots. That would rule out bad ram or a messed up install. This is a common problem with 256MB cards running at high. Turn the textures down to medium. Or, it could be your sound driver. Are you using the Realtek Sound Driver? If so, use a different one.

I fixed it. It was the map.
