There is not much of a difference between the 256MB and the 512MB versions even at higher resolutions.

What are you guys talking about? He can run it maxed no probs at 2500x1600 resolution, all very high, DX10 60 FPS. And yes his computer can go for over $1000!

There is no way his computer will run crysis, my computer is above his and I can only run the game on the lowest of low settings, I would just let him install the game and when his computer wont allow him to use the starting menu laugh at him.

Agree with him, and let him play, have your computer right there too, and you start playing at the same time, and when you are both on high settings, as why his computer cant get 1 frame per minute, and yours is getting 40FPS

Mine won't get 40 in high, maybe 30 in low. His will get 6 per min in low...
