He was saying it wouldn't run under Vista64 and was using something else (Asus PC Probe II iirc) which I believe was reading his temps approx 15C low.

Well, if it wasn't an error in the reading he has the coolest running Q6600 on air that I know of, 26C (iirc) was the last temp he posted.

If that's under load, then WOW. If that's idle, my Q6600 averages around 26-28* if the computer is on from 6-8AM~ish. Its the coolest time of day here and my room is always ~10* hotter than the whole house.

What are you reading your temps with? also what is your ambient air temp?

I'm using CoreTemp; same program I used when OCing and reporting to you guys in the OC threads.

And pardon my brainfart, but when you say ambient air temp, do you mean my room temperature? If so, it was ~80*F last night.

I'm going to test this out. CoreTemp didn't work for me and I have Vista 64 bit.

ok , just to prove that my temps are 25... im up for the challenge , im download it now

edit, since i have to reset ill do it later. im in the middle of downloading fury.


everest says that my cores are:
1:39
2:37
3:33
4:35.
lets see what core temp says , later
