Default crossfirex

this is a pathetic post, i googled the question and could not clearly find the answer.

does crossfirex allow me to use 2 different video cards. both do support crossfirex.

if that is yes then is it possible to use 3 video cards for crossfire x?

my cards are a 5970 and two 5770's

It depends on if your motherboard supports it and if your power supply can handle it.

The other more important thing to note here is why would you want to run CrossFire when you have a 5970? The 5770's even in CF couldn't come very close to that 5970 by itself. Even if you could run them in CF, you'd better have a 50+ inch monitor or it's just a waste of firepower.

The HD5970 will run 3 monitors.

The 4GB HD5970 will drive 6 separate monitors.
