Default crossfire vs SLi

a friend of mine were in an arguement over with company provides better dual card performance. he is saying crossfire because he thinks that a x1900xtx is the fastest video card ever. but I think that a 7900gtx is faster than a x1900xtx and since SLi has been out longer, its performance has been enhanced and fixed
anyone want to help me pwn my friend? reputation points are in it

SLI is more stable and functional from what I hear.

PC Gamer, the mag, did a comparison and SLI was the clear winner.

i'm pretty sure the x1900xtx is faster than the 7900gtx. but the 7950gx2 from nvidia should be the winner in best videocard at the moment.

SLI has matured now, so for dual card setups, yes SLI is the way to go. However, if you compare the X1900 XTX to the 7900 GTX, then the X1900 XTX is the winner in terms of single cards between the two.
