Default Crossfire question

Is it possible to crossfire a 5770 and a 5830? i seen they just released those and i just wanted to get one for the hell of it.

Plus my dads got a 5450 and i wanna boast on it a little too.. lol.

No. You can only crossfire cards with the same GPU.

BTW the 5830 has been out quite a while, it is just horrible for the price so it hasn't caught on. Get a second 5770 for Xfire.

You can, or you used to be able to, they did it with HD 3 series cards here (3870 and 3850) http://www.legitreviews.com/article/663/1/ As for performance gains I don't know how much of a gain it will get you, I think it will downclock the better card to match the lower card.

Can only CrossFire within the same series. Ex: 5770 + 5750, or 5850 + 5870. a 58XX + 57XX will not work.
