Creative Geforce2 geforce 2 mx pci

I am trying to install the Creative Geforce2 geforce 2 mx pci graphic card so i do not have to use the shared graphics. I have everything set up correct the shared graphics are deactivated and the geforce card displays a picture that is 1024x768 resolution and the refresh is 60Hertz. I try o update the diver but it does not recognise it and when i try to change the refresh rate the screen freezes. The operating sytems is Windows Xp home edt

CPU-AMD Atholon XP 2200+ 1.8ghz Socket A
RAM-512 sdram
Shared GFX-S3 prosavageddr 32mb clock 121mhz

Try going to hardware manager, and updating the drivers from there. If all else fails, just unistall the drivers you have installed right now, and download the newest ones from the Nvidia website.
