Default creating bootable thumb drive

I know there is a way to make a thumb drive bootable, but is it possible to install a boot loader on it, so that I can install live images on separate partitions? For example, I would like to partition a 32GB thumb drive into several 700MB partitions (the size of a CD), so that I can have Clonezilla live on one, GParted on another, and perhaps the Windows 7 repair disk on another. Is there a way to do this?
