trying to put this AMD Athlon XP 2700+ - AXDA2700DKV3D processor in a Asus A7n8x motherboard
i installed windows with it running at 100fsb so it showed up as a 1500+
i went into bios after install and set it correctly.. and shortly after the post the screen goes crazy.. theres colors all over the place in differnt patters.. its like the screen goes plaid red and blues. and sometimes yellows..
does this sound like something a bios flash could solve.. or more like ram problems?? i did however try it with a 256mb stick of ddr333.
videocard is Asus-Geforce4-Ti4800se
powersupply is greater than the reccomended wattage and amperage ratings.

ok guys i downloaded the newest bios for my mobo..
it is the A7N8X Deluxe BIOS 1009 for PCB revision 1.04, and 1.06 only
i flashed and it appeared to be sucessfull.. it restarts and tells me. Auto Load Awdflash.exe (asks for floppy) than says SOURCE FILE NOT FOUND and i can nolonger type anything in or use the keyboard.. i tryed 2 different ones..
