Crashing Problem

Hello
At the moment i am in an extremely annoying situation. My computer (128 meg Nvidia FX 5200 Graphics card, samsung DVD-ROM, ABIT Guru motherboard with Nvidia soundcard and an Elonex colour monitor) keeps crashing every time I play any game with the 'this program has performed an illegal operation and will be shutdown' message. I have looked everywhere but cannot find a reason or the game crashing. Please help.

Re-install DirectX and your graphics drivers, they're most likely causing the problem.
