CPU upgrade

Hey. I recently acquired this desktop, and am looking to upgrade the processor. It is currently running a 1.6GHZ intel chip. My question is, how big of a CPU can this motherboard support? The MOBO is an intel DQ965GF. It's a socket lga775, so I assume it can handle a newer CPU, but this guide to the motherboard tells me otherwise. The guide is however outdated. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance
