CPU questions

well, for one, Gigabyte makes a better quality board, which means it will last longer than 6 months unlike the Jetway
the dual core is highly recommended right now, but im thinking around the summer of next year, Quad Cores will be used a lot more.

i would pay a little more to get a Dual Core.
and i wouldnt go with Jetway, it doesnt seem like a quality motherboard brand.
Whats your budget?
We can help you find parts as a guideline, and you just pick whats parts you want, then show us, and we will tell you if all is compatible/good or not.

my budgets cheap..
basically everything under $75, with exception for graphics card
whats the difference between the single core and the duel core?
is it going to show a definite difference?

a BIG difference.
I dont like to use my brothers computer because he has a single core, and i got used to the speed of my dual core. But then again, i have better quality parts than he does.

I think you might need a new pair of ram because nowadays, DDR2 is being used, and i think you have DDR. Then you might need to get a new PSU, because i dont think your current PSU is sufficient for the build we are suggesting and adding the 9600GSO

ok
i will spend the extra and get the duel core processor
thing is the mobo
i would like to get a cheap mobo that works great and sense im getting the $85 graphics and $60 cpu i rly dont wanna spend $60 on the mobo

A CPU can handle one thread at a time, so when you start using multiple programs you will get slowdown. A dual core can handle another thread, so multitasking becomes quicker.
