CPU and mobo temps

Is this normal?

CPU: 42C
Mobo: 44C

This was after an hour of being idle, with a Zalman 7700 CPU cooler and Arctic silver 5

Some temp monitoring programs may display motherboard temp as cpu's.
So it could be: motherboard 42 and cpu 44...

EDIT: btw, what is your cpu ...

I have an Athlon64 4000+ San Diego CPU and Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe mobo
and my cpu is 42, mobo is 43 when idle

well i have the same motherboard and its 34C idle and ur cpu is a bit hot what case fans do u have?

But then again I like Intels... so AMDs may not be used to the heat so much

Well, let's see

I've got a side case fan, a fan at the back, 2 PSU fans, and a fan in front of the HDD's.

My CPU fan is a Zalman, specifically this one:

Hmm... you should have just about enough cooling for any Processor

maybe 45 is reasonable...
