Default CPU Fan not working. NEED HELP!!

Okay well I just bought the 3D Rocket II CPU fan(http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835128014) and a BIOSTAR mobo(http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...2E16813138049). I plug everything in and everything works fine except the CPU fan dose not start. My CPU got up to 50F just from looking in the BIOS. Please someone help. Do I need to get a different fan?

Are you sure you're plugging the power plug into the right slot on the motherboard? CPU fans have these two thin wires that usually go right into a slot nearby the socket. Sometime, they come with adapters where you can also plug directly into the power supply unit.

does the cpu fan plug into the front panel controller...? does the front panel controller have a power plug...? maybe it's (the front panel fan controller) not getting any juice...?

Fans themselves usually work most of the time. You can always test for continuity by using a voltmeter . Plug both leads onto the pins and see if there's a readout.
