Default cpu fan ...

i have a loud pitched noise coming from my computer. i think its coming from the cpu fan. somtime's it happens but not always.. is there anyway to get rid of this?

Re-install it maybe and get it on as tight as possible, adjust the speed to low if it has a speed controller.

This should be adjusted using the BIOS

Or get an Ultra Quiet fan from Thermal Take. Those thigs pwn, and their speed adjusts according to temperature. BTW, welcome omarmakki to CF. Im sure you will like it here.

I had a harddrive that started making a high pitched squeal once... Might want to check that too.

hell yeah man, I just got a Thermaltake Extreme Volcano 12, and it rocks. I have it set to automatic, where you install the temp sensor under the cpu and it automatically adjusts the fan according to the temp.....it rocks

Yeah, TT heatsinks are nice, but I like the Zalman CNPS7000 more.
