Default Which CPU do you recomend

I have looked up 3 CPU's that I am thinking about getting. I am looking to build a decent gaming machine. Which of the three would be best?

I hear the Athlon 64 is the fastest processor out there ATM. Hehe, just wait untill software is actually 64bit compatable, it'll be screaming

Intel Pentium 4 HT Prescott is the most powerful though And the fastest - just not so good with Games as the 64 at the moment.

Certainly will; can't wait. but again - by then intel will have more 64-bitted Processors out - and they will as always, be superior Especially with HT and the bigger Cache.

Does it really matter how hot they go as long as the cooling is there to stop it getting out of hand...

The P4 can still play all of the high-end games right? Or will you see a noticable amount of choppieness? I know a lot of that has to do with the graphics card.

Get Pentium 4 HT EE 3.8 Ghz! Beat all AMD Cards around if you switch HT off in the Bios.
