Captain! The warp field is fluctuating...the warp cores are out of balance!
![]() ![]() I have been having fun with a new system. First time I've played with a multi-core computer of my own. It's fun to watch the core loads change.

You probably have a single threaded program/process running, that is using about 25% or more of one core.

Keep in mind that I'm just having fun. I'm very happy with the CPU performance, these are just observations.
I notice that when I process a DVD, when the video is done encoding, but the software is still generating the DVD structure, the first three cores drop out and the last one stays at about 90% for a little bit. I wasn't fast enough to catch a screen shot. [edit] I managed to catch it the next time: ![]() [end edit] There is the old fashioned way of balancing the cores: Captain, the engines are almost at maximum!
