The Zalman 9700 cooler is a good solution for your needs. Here is a link, it supports LGA775..

To be honest, you will not get good temps with a quad core and air cooling. The temps will be mediocre at the best. Just my 0.02. If you want air cooling, Tuniq Tower.

I wouldn't OC a quad-core on air. If you can afford one of those, you should be able to afford a decent liquid cooling setup.

It will only give you mediocre temps so don't expect anything stellar.

Sure fans and stuff like nice, but imagine how expensive and sophisticated liquid cooling looks! Don't know why you would even need to oc that cpu, it's fast enough on stock for everything :P

It will be really fast, but you won't see any performance difference over a normal Core 2 Duo when running single or double-threaded applications, so quad-core is overkill for the mainstream user. He should be fine with the Zalman cooler if he's not OC'ing though.
