Question Cpu @ 100%

10:19 AM 9/26/2005 I just reinstalled Bearshare last night. Downloaded some star wars and batman and was trying to put them in some subfolders for organization. While I was doing this one of the files said it was in use by another person or program. Then my CPU usage went to 100% and stayed there. When I shut down it said explorer was not responding. It did this to me a half a week ago before I formatted. Its doing this after I shut BS down, its not even running.
Why is it doing this?
Could this be because I uninstalled save?

Yeah, it seems i'm afraid that you have something on your PC now...

If yuo haven't got any of these protection programs (which you should have anyway), there are free versions that can be just as good as ones bought in the shops we could link you too.

I ran Norton and it found:
Source: C:\Documents and Settings\Dave\Local Settings\Temp\VVSNInst.exe
Adware.WhenUSearchBar
I went in and deleted it manually norton wouldn't.
It showed up as an install icon.
not sure?

I downloaded and installed hijackthis, ran it. Should I delete the whole list? It says it makes a backup. So I should just delete them all right? This is the log report:

Most of thats Symantec, and that could be the firewall or antivirus, and so, those ones shouldn't be deleted.

I think it would be better to just do it this way instead of hijackthis. Then I don't have to worry about shutting off the wrong stuff. Boy I sure wish I could get my hands on one of these adware makers lol. strangle Them
