hey can someone tell me if this is a good processor?

Yes it is if you are a budget, P4 are much better , but i know everyone is gonna say no way go for Amd, The chip is very good for the price of it, do not get below that speed as the new 2.93ghz Celeron has a prescott core and a 533mhz bus speed making it a very good chip for the price.

Prescott core sucks........... It runs really really hot!! I will say it, go AMD. If you are on a tight budget, go with a Sempteron, they beat Celerons anyday...

lol gosh i knew Zen would say somethin! But really check out the benchmark tests the only Sempron that beats it is the 3100 which uses socket 754 other than that sempron all the others suck. same with celeron all other celerons are worse.

Still AMD ZEN has a point prescotts overheat ot easily

Well lets just hope he isnt tryin to OC if he isnt i dont see the problem as long as it has proper coolin like every system should

But still the Prescott has way to high temperatures compare to a Clawhammer or a Winchester
