1. i was woundering somthing a physics card is a seconds prossesoing unit for physics code, could i use my old pci graphics card as a phyics card sum how??

2. when is intel releasing there core2quad i no it supost to be this month or next? cuz i want to start building my rig.(i was ganna get the nvida 680i mother bord with intel core 2 wau 2.4 ghz and over clock to 3ghz with a 8800gtx card)

3. also is there and complaints for the evga version of the nvida 680i mother bord and the evga version of the 8800?


4. is over clockeding the intel core 2 quad from 2.4 to 3 ghz with enougp kooling
hurt my cpu?

4 - It probably won't work if you use stock cooling, get something like this:

First of all, Core 2 Extreme is just a group of the fastest processors in the Core 2 series. It includes both dual and quad core processors.

Cooling like that will probably cost about $1000, which is crazy. If you really want to spend that much, go for it, and you'll be able to get it wayyy past 3 GHz, probably 5 or 6 GHz before the chip jsut can't take it any more. Those things keep the temperature at -20 to -30 degrees C!

i know i cant afford that type of cooling i was just sayin i wouldnt overclock a quad core as if it all went wrong i couldnt afford a replacement so if i was even gonna contemplat over clocking a quad core costing $1000 i would want some ultra cool cooling

why would you really use that kinda cooling. Just make a liquid nitrogen cooling system and you are set. Though that really wouldn't be good for long term usage, just because you would have to get a slave (or something ) to add more liquid nitrogen once in a while.

But for smart cooling solutions, just get a nice hsf if you want to spend money on new cooling. I have a zalman cnps 7700 and I'm pretty happy with it. Also from 1st hand experience I can say that scythe infinity is great, though it's HUGE.

the cooling doesn't really matter in terms of "something going wrong".
Doesn't matter what cooling you have, if you know what you are doing then things won't go wrong. Even with good cooling you can destroy the cpu. The only difference is that with normal cooling you can't oc it as high.

i wanted the 6600 model but like in quad
around 2.4ghz
and as for kooling im going to be using this
