Couple monitor and video questions

I have a couple questions.
1. When I play a video on windows media player, is there anyway to stretch the video to 16:10? So that there are no black bars?

2. I have dual monitors, is there any way to play a game, but leave CFs and yahoo IM running on one monitor, and between lives, or pauses, check things, IM with yahoo ppl, and whatnot?

If you don't want the game to minimize you could always play it in a window.

You could start your apps, drag it over to the monitor you want, then play the game.
