Default Couple monitor and video questions

I have a couple questions.
1. When I play a video on windows media player, is there anyway to stretch the video to 16:10? So that there are no black bars?

2. I have dual monitors, is there any way to play a game, but leave CFs and yahoo IM running on one monitor, and between lives, or pauses, check things, IM with yahoo ppl, and whatnot?

Thanks, I thought I had another question, but I forgot it, lol.

Here is another tho.
What is this:

alt+tab
If you don't want the game to minimize you could always play it in a window.

You could start your apps, drag it over to the monitor you want, then play the game.
