could someone help me with my lag??

my system which was bought a couple monts ago really laggs.

motherboard: gigabyte k8nf-9
cpu: amd 64 3000+
video card: RAEDON X700
Ram: 1gig ddr400 (duno what brand sorry)
HDD: WD 250gb 7200rpm IDE
OS: windows vista home premium
any idea why it lags so bad??

Do you mean as in your computer is running slow or your screen resolution is slow?
If its the first I would suggest deragmenting your hard drive, and also running this program http://www.ccleaner.com/download/.

what i mean is it takes long to load programs and i also get bad screen lag i guess its called.

HDD fragmentation is only 3% but i will defrag.

the problem is vista. the more you install/try to do the slower it will be on 1gb ram. defrag, run c cleaner and do the usual cleanup things. oh and msconfig!
